We offer a variety of extension services at Get Glam’d Hair Salon & Store. Please read all details prior to booking services and consult with your stylist your hair goal and concerns. If you have any pre-existing scalp or hair conditions or require any special arrangements, please book a consultation. If you have received sewn in extensions of any kind, you must be gentle and handle with extreme care. Should you feel any irritation or extreme pain, please alert your stylist immediately DURING THE SERVICE and after. Never deal with pain in silence. It is not offensive to alert your stylist. Failure to notify or address irritation or pain may result in irritation, infection, or severe hair loss. The commercial wefts are sewn with cotton or nylon to your natural hair or net. Your hair may require the use of synthetic weave for stability. If your hair is especially weak or your scalp especially sensitive, we recommend an allergy test prior to see if you are allergic to synthetic hair. Prior to receiving bonded or glue in extensions, please perform an allergy test to see if your are allergic to latex. Please be gentle with combing, brushing, and styling your installation. Yanking, pulling, and ponytails will pull on braids therefore pulling on your natural hair follicle, which may result in hair loss. throughout the duration of your installation, use an antiseptic on your scalp and braids to prevent oder irritation and mold. Never sleep on wet hair. Always dry your installation to prevent mildew or mold. We don’t not recommend the wear of bonded extensions past 3 weeks. We do not recommend the wear of a sewin longer that 12 weeks to prevent matting, tangling dreading and or hair loss. Past the time of usage, Get Glam’d Hair Salon & Store is not liable for any damages to scalp or natural hair. Removing extensions can be especially dangerous. Understand that a normal adult sheds between 50 to 100 natural hair follicle per day. You will shed approximately 10,000 natural hair follicles throughout the duration of a sew in installation. Without proper removal procedure, you risk irreparable damage your natural hair and scalp. Should you choose to remove your own extensions, proceed at your own risk.
